Dear Friend,
Public service has always been an interest of mine, and that is why I have been involved in our community in many ways over the years.
I am offering my candidacy because we need a Legislator who is both knowledgeable in and concerned with our rural schools, a business owner who is for strengthening the local economy and defending area jobs, and one who has put country and community before self when duty called. I am that candidate.
I have a multifaceted background to lead in the tough decisions facing our Legislature during these harsh economic times. I am a native Saline Countian who has lived in rural Johnson County and this district for the past 30 years. My father was a union member and railroad worker and my mother a beautician. Together they taught me the values of working hard and playing by the rules.
For the past 14 years, I have been a businessman and, along with my wife, Anita, owned Central Band & Piano, LLC, in downtown Warrensburg. After serving 3 years in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era, I have dedicated my life as a teacher and working in education.
I will listen to you and will seek out your thoughts on the tough legislative issues that will face us in Jefferson City. As I have friends across this community of both political parties, I will work with both sides of the aisle to develop effective legislation for the people of Missouri. It’s time to remove bitter partisanship that is hurting our state and country.
